Nazwę kapeli pożyczyli od boga Słowian połabskich, odpowiedzialnego za gościnę i godną biesiadę. Ponad 4 lata kazali czekać na nową płytę. W międzyczasie podbijali rodzimą, czeską i słowacką scenę oraz przeprowadzili niemałe przetasowanie we własnych szeregach. Kapela powstała w 2006 roku i praktycznie od razu wydała dwie demówki – Dwa hektary żywego lasu i To nie był wilk. Pierwszą w całości zajmuje ich twórczość (poza ostatnim, niesamowicie dziwnym coverem Korpiklaani), na drugą składają się w większości covery (w tym mój absolutny faworyt Zając Poziomka 666). ---Mrówka, riffpl.wordpress.com

Have you ever heard something so weird that you’re literally speechless for a few seconds? Well that’s what this demo did to me for a while. It’s not appalling or anything like that; it’s just so damn strange. When the intro is the most normal sounding (for folk in general at least) track you know something is afoot. The songs themselves aren’t necessary bad but just weird, and you would wonder why they recorded some of them to begin with. “Chochlik Smyralka” opens up with classical music for example. The vocalist is using so many different vocal approaches on this demo. He uses your typical harsh grunts that you would find in most folk metal. In “Chochlik Smyralka” he talks in a really high pitched voice like he’s trying to sound like a little kid, and some rather bizarre opera wannabe like singing in the beginning of “Bo Jo Cie Kochom (De Press cover)”.

The band doesn’t seem to have a sense of structure. Not so much like verse chorus verse structure, but rather what they want to be. They have a folk-like intro but other than that nothing really sounds like folk metal. The final track on here is a stoner/death like song with production worse than all the other tracks even. The two cover tracks are amusing if anything. There is a lot of inner humor in this demo. Clearly the band members were having a good time when they recorded this, although it feels like they’re not letting us in on the joke.

Well it’s decent enough to listen to. At first it sounds really bizarre and most likely will annoy the hell out of you. After that you find some rather unique music on this little demo. ---linkavitch, metal-archives.com
