But because we know that she is an opera star, and that therefore when she sings these songs she is doing "cross-over," she's just a curiosity in this context. Well, I know that she is an opera star, I even know something about her growing-up as my wife was U.S. Consul General in Auckland where Kiri sang in night clubs and people still speak of her as the local, home-town girl, and I still think that she is one of the greatest pop singers of all time.
